Louisville runs both the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary National Curricular:

Louisville Girls High School runs the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Programmes as specified in the Nigerian National Policy on Education.

It offers a wide variety of academic subjects taught by a dedicated and professional staff.

The girls begins with a broad spectrum of subjects, which becomes more focused as she progresses.

In the Junior Secondary School (Level 1 to 3), the School emphasises the basic skills in the following subjects:

  • English Language

  • Mathematics

  • Basic Science & Technology

  • Pre-vocational Studies

  • French

  • Cultural and Creative Arts 

  • Religion and National Values

  • Business Studies

Senior Secondary School
Students are thoroughly prepared for the IGCSE, WAEC and NECO exams and are therefore exposed to the syllabus of the examining bodies.

The subjects offered in the Senior Secondary School are:



  1.  English Language                               
  2.  Mathematics
  3.  Civic Education
  4.  C.C.P. OR Marketing
  5.  Christian Religious Studies
  6.  Biology
  7.  Government
  8.  Literature in English
  9.  French/Computer/Economics
  10. Visual Art/Home Management



  •             Students in SS One and Two MUST offer the 10 Subjects, SS Three students MUST offer the 1st 8 subjects and 1 subject from either group 9 or 10 to make a total of 9 Subjects.
  •       Students in SS One and Two that are not offering French MUST take the 2nd  French subject {GNS 401 and GNS 501}. This is in line with the Ethos of the School of enforcing an appreciation of the second compulsory International language, French.
